You have probably heard of the Australian Bushfires that have devastated Australia these past few days. (you should have, because even i, the non-tv-watcher non-news-reader has heard about this thru blogland) Even if you don't have money to send, you can send quilt blocks. Click the link for more info, but basically this lady had the idea to make 3 quilts, and now has enough volunteers making blocks to make 100's. its crazy, but a great way to help out.
because if your home was destroyed, along with the rest of all your neighbors homes, work places, and schools, you'd need a quilt too.
p.s. when you go to her page, check out the flikr account for this, she has FAQ's with a USA and Australian mailing address, as well as sizing, links to tutorials, and bloggy love for the people generous enough to donate backing, batting and quilting.

thank you for posting this. Where can I send quilt blocks to?
wow, you have a busy day planned. I might send some blocks but I am already sending a package to a gal that is collecting sewing supplies...we will see, thanks for the link.
Thanks for posting this. I have joined up as well. Mama Krit, go to the flickr group that is listed on the post at the link. That will tell you everything you need to know.
